Korean food (in Gwangjang market)

I believe that environmental factors greatly influence human's lifestyle, culture, thoughts, cloth, and food.

Korea has a lot of mountains more than 70% of land mass. The mountain chain starts from Mt. Baekdo located between China and NK. It goes down to south along the east coast. And it turns to west at the end.

That's why east side of mountain chain has the steeper slope than that of the west. Yeongseo(west part of back born of the mountains) has more 300 ml precipitations than east because of mountain blocks.

Korea has 4 seasons- Spring, Autumn is wonderful ! not so hot, not so cold while l feel myself swimming in the hot pot during Summer And it is so cold and dry during winter.

Which causes that Korean have developed "Fermented food" - For instance, Kimchi, Soybean paste, salted fish and so on.
One more factor would be a reason that Korean regard good food as preventive medicine. You are what you eat. !!

Korea has 3 side seas, mountains, rivers, and fields. Brilliant Korean have tried a thousand of recipes wide ranging from boiling born to take nutrition (protein) and getting rid of poison from the herb on the heat. (bracken)

Basically, Korean food is healthy food. Although Sometimes foreigners get crazy when people eat raw octopus or beef or maybe silkworm and so on.

If you really want to try unique Korean food, why don't you go to Gwangjang market in Seoul?
